Lindsey Rulon-Miller's professional career includes a range of positions in education, libraries, museums, and the antiquarian book trade. She has worked as Administrator for Historic Sites with the Minnesota Historical Society; Director of Library and Education at the James J. Hill Center; and has served as judge for the Minnesota Books Awards.
In 2020, she served as a state-appointed member of the Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board (CAAPB)’s new Decision Process Advisory Task Force for Commemorative Monuments, and currently serves as Chair of the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) Review Board. Lindsey also supported the State Emblems Redesign Commission which delivered a new Minnesota state flag and seal in 2024.
Lindsey received her BA in English Literature from the University of Minnesota, her Masters of Library & Information Science from St. Catherine University, and her archivist certification from the Academy of Certified Archivists. She is also a graduate from the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar.
Tempo Books was established in 2021.
In addition to owning and operating Tempo Books, Lindsey is employed by the Minnesota Historical Society as the Capitol & MNHS Sites Art Program Specialist where she manages public art initiatives and facilitates efforts regarding the creation, removal, and preservation of commemorative monuments at the Minnesota State Capitol.
